Our German colleagues introduced two prototypes at R+T, one of which won an award for innovation. Winning in the category of ‘Drive and control systems for door/gates’ the Universal chain tensioner 12-20 was noted for having very low product and installation costs and offering unique flexibility.
In addition, concepts were shown for Fireproof FS Drive Units. The prototype drive units are designed with combined worm/planetary gears to be used as direct mount drives. These drives will allow for narrower door design and provide access to the large range of GfA accessories for worm gears.
