Having launched a prototype and clinched the innovation prize in 2015 with a radical new design of gearbox, GfA Germany is now going into production with drive units featuring the SG40 gearbox with integrated frequency inverter.
All GfA drives already comply with CE marking requirements, making them suitable for European markets, but now also explicitly meet the requirements of ANSI/CAN/UL 325 (Standard for Door, Drapery, Gate, Louver, and Window Operators and Systems).
A new door control system to meet UL requirements is currently being produced, with full UL approval planned for later in 2018.
